Accreditations and Certifications
Software Made in Germany

The Bundesverband IT-Mittelstand e.V. (BITMi) awards the „Software Made in Germany“ seal to highlight the quality of German software. Internationally, this label signifies top‑tier quality and outstanding customer satisfaction.
Our software solutions proudly carry this seal — recognised for their usability, flexibility, well‑designed architecture and cost efficiency. They are supported by expert customer service and have a strong track record in real‑world use.
Software Hosted in Germany
Complementing our “Made in Germany” recognition, we have also been awarded BITMi e.V. ‘s “Software Hosted in Germany” seal. This seal signifies security and trust under German law and is granted to software providers that deliver web‑based solutions in line with German data protection requirements and the following criteria:
- Software and data are hosted in a German data centre.
- Software and personal data remain in Germany unless the client explicitly requests otherwise.
- The hosting agreement is governed exclusively by German law — notably data protection law, the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Commercial Code (HGB).
- Standards for the implementation of technical and organisational measures for data protection (see §9 BDSG) are filed with BITMi e.V.
Code for Sustainability & Digitalisation
BITMi e.V.’s “Code for Sustainability & Digitalisation” encourages sustainable practices across the IT SME sector and shows that digital transformation and sustainability can go hand in hand.
As signatories, we demonstrate our commitment to sustainability in our daily operations and in how we design and build software. The Code further sets expectations for economic and social responsibility — equality and diversity, fair working conditions, employee wellbeing and a long‑term, sustainable business model.
Authorized Economic Operator (AEO)

The status of Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) — in German, Zugelassener Wirtschaftsbeteiligter — is not an authorisation in the strict sense. Rather, it signifies that the holder enjoys a special relationship of trust with customs authorities. There are two types: AEOC (Customs Simplifications) and AEOS (Security). We hold both.
AEOs are thoroughly audited by customs for financial solvency, security measures and compliance with customs regulations. A key aspect is the granting of customs facilitations and simplifications to AEOs.
Each company receives a risk profile. The authorities’ goal is to reduce irregularities and fraud risks. AEOs with a “good” risk rating are granted customs facilitations. Given the competitive advantages this brings, obtaining AEO status is a high priority for many companies active in international trade. Achieving the status requires implementing specific requirements that involve significant software and technical effort.
